Verizon May Equip Pay Phones with Wireless Links

A news similar to this came out sometime last year, and it appears it is starting to bear fruit. With the decline of public phone all across the US and other country due to cell phones, phone companies are abandoning the pay phone business - in fact BellSouth has since then dropped it's pay phone service. Phone booth with Wi-Fi, I think that is a great idea.
"Verizon Communications wants to provide a new purpose for a declining business by using street corner pay telephones to wirelessly link its broadband customers to the Internet, President Larry Babbio said."
