Antivirus

I don't have antivirus on my x51v, & probably never will. I'm on the net a lot, >4 hrs daily.
Haven't heard of any serious attack on pda; only 1 case where it was resolved easily - hard reset.
On the desktop (PC), an attack is easier to implement bcos the boot sector (also _Restore) is on a harddrive (file); most PC runs Windows (IE, OS, emails, registry) - lots of loop holes.
On PPC, its more difficult to write to ROM/RAM.
A few days ago, a member pointed out an adware (spam) that was posted here. I intentionally downloaded it w/ my x51v to see how it'll attack my unit. It resides in the registry. It provides a link to a site. To remove it, all I did was delete the key. If someone were to download it from the desktop, it will be a nightmare fixing it.
Precautions when surfing, avoid visiting suspicious sites - adult, free download unless recommended by Aximusers' members; if PIE search too long, X-out.
Then again, it's only my opinion.
