Problems with UPG to Windows Mobile and Sync

First of all stick with Pocket PC 2003 if you havent already installed win mobile 5.
Before you gothrough the below procedure make sure to have active sync 4.1 installed and your network card drivers (for your pc) available.
I have an Axim X50v and upgraded it to windows mobile 5.0. I lost the ability to sync with my computer through active sync and had no contact at all. I tried several actions discussed.
Fix=
Go start-control panel-network connections. You should see your regular LAN coonection and a Windows Mobile Device # 2 icon/connection.Take your axim out of the cradle or disconnect the usb cable. Delete the windows mobile device connection. Then place your axim back in the cradle. Win XP Pro should automaticcly recognize it and install the network connection and drivers. Now everything should be ok. If you have now lost your network connection. Uninstall your network drivers and then install them again. Now everything shoul dbe up and running. puuuhhh! A lot of fuzz but its working now.
