All firewalls has a DNZ. Of cause, that doesn't help if your friend "don't know jack". If the firewall is protecting a company netowork you'r sol. I don't think the network administrator will configure the firewall so you can talk.

My best advice here would be to determine which port(s) the app uses, then have your friend open that port on his router/firewall. The manual usually gives good instructions. What app are you using, maybe I can get the info on it?
