=======================
that's it and nothing more happens.
i used a Pretec 128MB CF card .

Ok man. I made PPC2003 instalation with a 64 MB CF. I dont know if with German Version it function. One thing is that you need to format the CF to get it blank, then you need to put into the root of CF the image file of PPC2003. My Example: I download the archive R64365.EXE, next I open it and the instalation extract some files to my HD into(C:\Dell\Drivers\R64365), I go to this folder and copy the image file P25_NK_H_07170300EN.IMG to the root of my CF and follow the other step that are attached to this quote. I made this steps and now I have run PPC2003 into my Axim X5 . Please follow the steps carefull to make your instalation sucefully. I have other problems write me.

Hi,
I backed up my data from PPC2002 and then upgraded to PPC2003. When i try to restore it tells me that the data is not compatible.
What are my options?
Did i mess up on the backup? (I used the backup/restore function on the Axim)
Can i go back to PPC2002?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

THANK YOU omaraxim
when you first typed out those instructions i thot you were joking or something (power+reset+contacts+scroll-dial all at once? A HARD THING TO DO)
but after a few tries.. success. that white boot up ROM/RAM screen was like the most beautiful/satisfying thing i've ever seen
using a 256 CF card btw. axim x5 basic (300mhz). with the file P25_NK_L_07170300EN.IMG
i had tried another way to update ppc2002 to 2003 involving hexeditor but that obviously didnt pan out.
pce out

Tried the Power+Reset+Scrollin+Contact buttons. Must say it takes lots of tries. Eventually, the white screen very similar to Thomas' appeared but said my CF card is empty. I thought I dragged the .IMG file to the folder for the formatted CF card in Activesync Explore folder and the memory showed that the CF was 25megs full. Must have missed something here.
Any helpers out there in cyberspace?
Thanks.
Another thing. Man, its not priracy because Dell decided not to provide an upgrade stream for their loyal customer. I would have gladly paid for the proper upgrade to 2003. Oh, I do have their new Axims.
