Switcher Program Icons

I upgraded to PPC 2003 a few days ago and noticed that I no longer have the battery power and brightness control icons in the start bar. The switcher icon is there and works, but not the other two. Anyone else experience this strange phenomenon?

I have an X3i and it is running 2003, and there isn't any battery or brightness control. I put it there using WisBar Advanced task manager.
