Here's my problem

When I synch, it updates the pages, and channels, and all that good stuff but when I go to IE on my Axim, the Avantgo Link on the home page goes to the
"file://\windows\agdefault.htm" ---- this tells you how to activate it.
I followed the directions repeatedly.

I tried unchecking Avantgo on active sync on the desktop and syncing, checking it again and syncing. Went to Avantgo.com to reinstall the software.. Still doesn't work.

All the files are on my Axim......Is there anyway I can force IE to go to the Avantgo channels page?

Can someone post the file name that it goes to when you are viewing all your channels?

Found this on the AvantGo website



AvantGo Service Issues: Some users may be experienceing problems with the AvantGo service. We are working to correct the problem and hope to have this issue resolved soon. A few of the symptoms of the issue are 1) not being able to log into your account, 2) not being able to sync, 3) not being able to receive channels on the device 4) not being able to change/update password, and 5) receiving a connection successful message but no updating of web pages. When service is restored you should be able to return to your account activities normally. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and ask for your patience while we work to resolve the problem.

I've got the same problem.
Find there're actually synchronized files downloaded into the directory windows/Avantgo/AvGoDocsMQ of my pocket PC, but don't know how to open them.

I was having similar problems with Avantgo, but now the problems seem to have been fixed. One of the problems I had over the past couple of weeks was that Avantgo would finally synchronize (after many failed attempts due to problems with their servers), but when I went to open pocket IE, it would just freeze without opening the Avantgo homepage. I couldn't end the task on PIE and only a soft reset would fix the problem so that the homepage would appear without freezing PIE. However, the next sync would cause the problem to repeat itself. <_<

I was able to resolve that problem by right-clicking on Avantgo Connect from the Activesync console and going to Settings> Servers > Properties and then checking the box next to "Refresh all content at next sync". There must have been some corrupt files because the next time I synced, the problem was resolved. ^_^

My device:
X5 PA250 400Mhz PPC2002

I'm using X5 PX250 Pocket PC2003.
I believe the avantgo client is pre-installed with the pocket IE. When I open the IE avantgo link, it only goes to the windows/agedefault .htm page telling you the way to activate Avantgo, but I've followed the instructions many times but nothing seems to happen.
Anyone using Pocket PC 2003 having similar problem?

I had the same problem.

I ended up doing a hard reset. It works fine now.

According to MS Site:

If you use AvantGo and have installed an upgrade (such as the AvantGo Security Upgrade for Pocket PC devices), installing ActiveSync 3.7.1 will prevent AvantGo from syncing properly. To fix this problem, please reinstall the latest version of AvantGo.


...but this is when you install an update, but you might want to give it a try.

How can you install a new ersion of Avantgo?
When I log into Avantogo.com and click on download software, it eventually tells me that I already have Avantgo installed on my computer.
Any help apreciated...
