Yes you may, but you'll be in the same boat as the rest of us - waiting for Dell to release the upgrade.

I don't think you will se much of a speed increase though.
The 255 is the chip that can handle the 200 fsb!
I have a 250 running 2003. Works ok but no real speed increase. I don't care what anyone says. I have mine in my hands

And it works and you're thrilled, right? Or not so much?

Except for the conection settings, I see no MAJOR improvement. Although, I have a 250 chip so my ax did not really speed up much (at all).
Nothing to rush into.

But there is more to a PocketPc than speed. What about the other features of WM2003? No big deal either? B)

Internet and LAN connections were the other major focus of 2003. They did not change the look much at all. The today screen is still the same w/the exeption of a connections icon at the top.
oh and I think that the contacts, email, calander has blue shading in the backround. I'll post some pics. just the second I get a chance.

I found very little to no advantage of upgrading my 250 CPU to PPC2003. My X5-400 actually ran a little sluggish with 2003, so I restored 2002. All is now fine again.
PC2003 may have improved the networking setups, but PC2002 works just fine once it's set up.
I agree those with the 255 chip will benefit most from the upgrade. Those with the 250 chip would probably be better off upgrading their X5 to a newer version than spending the money on the upgrade.
CM

I had only one problem upgrading to WM 2003. It wouldn't turn off, truly, when I hit the power button. I'd have to do a soft reset each and every time... and I found out that it was actually "on" all weekend. When I got to work, it had burned up my batteries and it had done a hard reset. Doesn't that suck? DRATS!
Now, though, the power button seems to work. Maybe it was some drivers I had installed for the bluetooth or WiFi card?
