Spb Survey: The Outcome
St. Petersburg, Russia — December 18th, 2007 — Spb Software House, the world's leading Windows Mobile software vendor, publishes the results of its fourth annual Spb Windows Mobile Survey. The Spb Survey is a means of gathering feedback from the active members of the Windows Mobile community, measuring change in that segment of the mobile market, and sharing the observations with the public.
The number of participants in Spb Survey 2007 almost doubled in comparison with the last year's results. This trend may be a natural side-effect of the impressive growth rate of the Windows Mobile market itself. Moreover, this year's survey was extended to Smartphone users, and they chose not to remain silent to the offer.
Spb Survey 2007 Findings
- Spb Survey 2007 revealed a diversification in the devices used, and so much so, that no single model can be set aside as the leader
- HTC came across as the device manufacturer of choice for the majority of respondents
- The Spb Survey showed that more people are worried about data security, fewer rely on the built-in backup programs, and more are turning to third-party backup software
- The Spb Survey confirmed the growing interest in mobile Internet - a bigger percentage of respondents admitted to using their devices for going online
- And finally, 11% of respondents use an Internet connection for buying software for their handheld devices
