iAnywhere Solutions has just released a new version of one of the most popular handheld and smartphone applications of all time, AvantGo.

This is a free service that allows users to download Internet content and then display it later when the device is no longer connected.

All AvantGo users will see significant changes, whether they use the Palm OS, Pocket PC, Symbian UIQ, or Series 60 version.

For Pocket PC users, AvantGo content is no longer displayed through Pocket Internet Explorer. Instead, AvantGo is now a stand-alone browser that can be used for reading AvantGo channels or for surfing the regular web.
