VITO TECHNOLOGY BRINGS A NEW LEVEL OF VOICE DIALING ON POCKET PC PHONES
Vito Technology Announces the Appearance of Its New Product for Voice Dialing On the Market
Novosibirsk, Russia, May 20 - One of the leading software manufacturers, VITO Technology LTD., has announced a release of VoiceDialer PE, a voice dialing application that helps Pocket PC phone users dial their contacts faster and easier. It lets you pronounce a name to dial a number instead of choosing it manually from the address book. Unlike many other voice-dialing applications, VoiceDialer PE allows users to record their own commands in any language according to their habits and preferences. With this development, VITO Technology demonstrates its concern for the customers all around the world: “Wherever they live, our users have the right to use software adapted for their own language”, says Murad Nazaraliev, Development Director.
VoiceDialer PE is a voice recognition system created solely for dialing contacts from standard address book on Pocket PC. It utilizes a sound processing engine, originally developed by VITO Technology, which proved effective while pioneered on earlier versions of VoiceDialer for Pocket PC and Windows Mobile Smartphones. During a year of development and constant work on enhancing its recognition capabilities, it has become possible to increase the percent of correctly recognized voice commands to 98% in regular conditions and up to 65% in noisy surroundings. Taking into account the wishes of users all around the world, the recognition algorithm is not limited to English pronunciation and can handle commands in any language.
“We tried to make the program interface as intuitive and easy-to-use as possible, so that users won’t spend any time to understand how voice-dialing works”, says Alexey Grebenkin, Head Engineer. At the first launch, VoiceDialer PE asks to record necessary voice tags and to assign a hardware button to quickly call the application. Further settings can be made through standard Settings dialog of the operating system. Main window of VoiceDialer PE displays progress of the recognition process, allowing user to control the course of events. In spite of its simplicity, VoiceDialer PE offers a very flexible mechanism of creating the commands: a contact can have separate voice tags for each phone number (i.e. cell, home, or office numbers), along with several tags for each number, providing thus as many customization options as user needs.
VoiceDialer PE supports all Phone Edition devices such as O2XDA, T-Mobile, XDAII, MDAII, and I-mate. It is available as an executable file as well as a .cab archive for over-the-air download. Provided trial version works without any limitations for 14 days; full version can be purchased for $15.95 at the company’s Web site
