I would surely hope that Dell would offer this update. If not they are going to have some pretty pissed off customers.

Yes, I thought that going forward after the initial batch of Pocket PC's we'd always have the option of upgrading our OS's via flash rom if we wanted to. To have a company simply say they're not going to do it kind of upsets me. I know HP/Compaq has always been good about offering the upgrade path so if Dell decides to leave us out in the cold on this one I may have to go with HP next time I buy.

I think it would be a good for every Axium user to email Dell and let them know how disapointed we would be if they did not offer the update. Maybe this may make them to "revisit this position".

Thanks for that petition. I urge everyone to go ahead and "sign" it. Takes about 8 seconds. The worst that will happen is that it will be disregarded.
