I Installed it normal usage works fine. Just having a problem still, When I try to add and remove programs still coming up with unable to retrieve device information.

Computer Ninja, I think what it means that the ROM update has support / compatible for the PXA255 processor, and I don't think we will see any significant improvement from the current processors that we have.

I just finished upgrading. No ill effects, everything is working perfectly. Backed up my Axim to SD, ran the upgrade, which took about 15 minutes, restored from SD and I didn't miss a beat!

Here we go again! I backed up my axim to my cf card. downloaded the update. Placed the unit in the cradle, it made the little syncing sound and just that quick it made the same sound again.Not connected!
Tried to connect manually thourgh the desktop and I get the connection wizard and it can't detect the device.
Any Help?

I Backed Up my data with Active Sync. I did the ROM upgrade to AO2. Held my breath while I restored and wonders never cease. The damn thing worked

I was looking for that navigation button setting. Didn't realize it had an icon of its own. Kept opening the buttons setting. Thanks RommelS

After updating the ROM to A02 my processor shows as an Intel PXA255 in the Settings/System/About tab and in the SysInfo.txt file it shows as Intel® PXA255 400 MHz A0 Stepping. With the A00 ROM the processor showed as Intel® PXA250 400 MHz C1 Stepping in the SysInfo.txt file

This could be the support for the C1 that was mentioned. It appears that the OS didn't see the chip as a PXA255, and it was showing it as a PXA250. With the update, it changed the information in the TXT file as well.

Hi, downloaded updates backup to CF ran updates,(by the way you have to turn off all mem resident programs.
)took about 15mins. restored from CF and it FAILED. Now i can't syc. with desktop. any suggestions. MS help did not help

I have noticed something wierd happening now after a day of working with the new upgrade. I can't run the switcher bar application (that ships with the ROM) anymore. It runs, but if I click on the icons at the top of the screen (battery, backlight, etc.) nothing happens.
Anyone else seeing this?

So which processor are we supposed to have, the 250 or the 255?

I tried to upgrade last night, but my Axim isn't syncing with the cradle for some reason. I could sync via WiFi, but no cradle. I did a soft reset, no sync. I rebooted my PC, no sync.
