Symantec Mobile Antivirus Consumer Edition Renewal Issues

Well, me again, but this time I don't have a solution.

A few days ago I bought a license for Symantec Mobile Antivirus Consumer Edition. After waiting several hours, I finally received the mail that allowed me to download the software.

After the download was finished, I installed the antivirus on my Dell Axim X51 but it says that the license is expired (the funny thing is that I recently bought this software, why is expired??).

When I clicked on the Renew buttom I got a new window of OPENBIT (it seems to be that this software is used for several companies to get licenses over the internet when it used in mobile phones) and a few seconds later, I received a message that says: "Phone is switched off....", what phone??? How can I "turn on my phone" if I'm using WM5 on my Axim???

I really don't know what to do because I am not able to use this antivirus. Symantec help is complete useless!

Hi Doc, look at this at symantec, I think you may have a compatability issue. Also there is no need for AV on ax as yet PocketPC's have been rarely targeted, see here and here

Hi Pedah... Well... thank you very much for your answer. I really appreciate it. Next time I am going to invest my money in software for my pocket, I will read before taking the action.

The refund system of symatec stincks big time.
