As a newbie to my x51v, is it a lost cause to try and move my Outlook Express
Address Book to the x51v? Can Active Sync move it to Pocket Outlook Contacts? I get AS connection OK, but am lost about the next steps. My desktop only has Outlook Express, not Outlook or Office. Can anyone help? I haven't found any threads on this topic in the forums. Yet.

Welcome Don, you need outlook [O] to sync with axim, and it is supplied with the original CD that came with your axim. You can import your contacts from outlook express [OE] and then sync with axim [AX]

It is possible to sync with OE using third party software, although I have never done this as I have outlook. See here and here for some suggestions. HTH

You may also export your OE contacts list and import them into Outlook to sync them with AS.

Thanks for the pointers. For now I'll keep Outlook Express and explore some of the other sync options. My main current use for the ax is outside at night with the telescope and Pocket Stars. I'll be growing into other functionality in time.
