Message for help to Mahstah
Mahstah,
Here is the problem I am trying to rectify:
PDA is Dell Axim X51v, ROM A12, Windows Mobile 5.0. I noticed under Programs I have a file/folder called Terminal Services Client. I tapped on it and discovered it had listed as a client "Battery Pack Lite" When I selected Battery Pack Lite and tapped on it, it said "server name specified is invalid" Now, I had installed Battery Pack Lite from my Install Disk that came with the Dell Axim X51v. I updated to Battery Pack Pro and I removed Battery Pack Lite from the PDA, per instructions, before I installed Battery Pack Pro. I cannot find Battery Pack Lite anywhere on PDA. I went through File Explorer looking with no results. Both programs were installed in regular memory and not to the SD memory card.
I want to remove Battery Pack Lite from showing in the Terminal Services Client but when tapping on it, Delete is not available. In File Explorer I went to Windows, Startmenu, Programs, and found Terminal Services Client. I tapped on that, delete is available here, but it told me Terminal Services Client is a system file and it may affect the system or other files if I remove it. I didn't remove it.
I don't even know or understand what the Terminal Services Client Program is or what it does. As I told you before, I'm new to all this and it comes slowly. I'd like, however, to remove Battery Pack Lite from from showing in the Terminal Services Client.
Will I have to reinstall Battery Pack Lite and then remove it again? I'd have to also remove and reinstall Battery Pack Pro. Maybe Battery Pack Lite can't be deleted and must remain in the Terminal Services Client. That doesn't make sense to me though unless I have to do a hard reset(which I don't want to do) to remove it.
At your convenience, please advise me best you can with this problem.
Thanks for your help, and I hope you had a Merry Christmas & looking forward to the New Year!
I did figure out how to copy and paste or this post wouldn't be here, so for me, that is a start. I hope I left this message in the right place. I didn't know how to address it to directly to you so I put "Message For Help to Mahstah" in the title. I also left a copy of this message addressed to Mahstah on aximsite.com by mistake. I don't think it will do any harm. I hope I left this message in the most appropriate area. If not, feel free to move it. Thanks for all your help!
