Need registry editor

I have a new problem synchronising my X51v through ActiveSync since I installed Sygate Personal Firewall. I understand that in order to get it to work I need to make a couple of registry changes, Unfortunately I don't have a registry editor. Since this is likely to be the only registry edit I'll ever make I'm looking for a freeware one and it needs to be straightforward. All the ones I've seen don't mention support for WM5.

Any recommendations?

PHM registry editor works with WM5.

Are you sure the edits are for your Axim and not for your desktop registry?

That's a good question. After I found that ActiveSync and Sygate firewall had a compatibility problem, I searched this site for a solution. I couldn't get a definitive answer so searched Microsoft which came up with http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...nc/sygate.mspx. I laboriously followed these complicated instructions and found it did not solve the problem. I then did a lengthy search of the net and found that many others also reported that the Microsoft solution does not work. I ended up with http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=120851. Many people have reported that this simple registry edit of the PDA works. If you know otherwise and can suggest a different solution that works, please let me know.
