Axim x51v to automatically detecting proxy settings
Hi,
I'm currently working with a host of handhelds for part of a pilot project. Most of the units are running Windows Mobile 2003/Activesync 3.8.
Up until recently i haven't had a problem with the devices connecting to the internet while docked, as the proxy server was automatically being detected.
However, i have now started to use Dell Axim x51v models running WM 5.0. I have had to upgrade Activesync to 4.2 and now, the proxy settings are not being detected. I can manually configure them, which works fine, but as these device will be given to others for testing this is giong to be a problem. (3rd party software uses internet for data transfer).
I have no personal firewall switched on the pc.
Has anybody got and ideas how this can be altered?
