Now, all of a sudden my aol stop sending messages I would get error message "cannot download to your device make sure you are connected and that your e-mail account settings are correct, then try to download messages" But I used to get my messages header and body now I dont even get the body of the messages.
when I send email I get "the messages could not be sent. check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. then try sending again."

I used to receive my messages even with the error message and then I upgraded to a12 and I got two successful wireless syncs now nothing?

could it be my wirless my axim or what I really didnt change anything.

While I am not an AOL user, it could be that AOL has upgraded thier security on thier servers and that the PIE application doesn't have the correct security level to access them.

Since I dont have AOL, I can't check it out. I'll ask a coworker to see if they can access thier email from my PDA for you. It might give me more insight on your problem.

It sounds like your POP settings might be incorrect. Check the settings compared to this site's suggestions.

Also check the suggestion for a registry hack on this site. I know it's not for the Axim or WM5 but maybe it'll help, it sounds like it'd be worth a try.

Thanks People I really mean that this is very frustrating. I will check the port settings on my desktop to insure they are allowable but should the desktop firewall be able to block my axim's using the router and cable modem?
Also contacted AOL via email and chat (chat was useless) waiting for a reply from the email.

For those of you that are interested my messaging problem has been solved by a hard reset (the 2nd). After the problem started to surface in the form of no sent messages and then progressing to not receiving message bodies I installed the a12 update and the problem still existed finally I broke down and did another hard reset and now it works fine.
However, Now I'm getting a lot of the latch errors I will search the archives and try to fix this (something about placing a piece of paper in battery door)

Thaough my problems were solved with the hard reset but I still cannot send emails from aol account still getting message check area coverage and email account settings. I think the problem is aol.
