ActiveSync issues with AximX51v

1.Every time I sync w. my PC, I am asked to furnish a new name for my Axim!
If I just type in the last one I used, it says no go. So I make up a new one and it works.

2. every 2 or 3 times, ActiveSync just will not connect. I try
a. soft reset Axim
b. reboot PC
c. restore PC to earlier time
d. turn off Anti-spyware&/or Privacy

eventually, one of a,b, c or d will work - but I've no idea what is going on! Is there maybe a monkeywrench in the installation works somewhere?

Have you tried ActiveSync 4.2 (beta)? Download here.

What ROM revision are you using? An update may be needed to resolve the problem. If updating ActiveSync and the Axim ROM don't help, you should see one of the many ActiveSync troubleshooting guides available online.

To follow up on Mahstah's post, I upgraded to A12 and use Active sync 4.2 (beta) and the problems I had earlier with A06 and AS 4.1 stopped.

Hope this helps you out as well.
