Activesync options won't stay checked

Using ActiveSync with Axim X50, Activesync v 3.8.0 (but did the same thing with previous version). Only four of nine sync categories stay checked by default (upon startup of Activesync): Favorites, Pocket Access, Files, and AvantGo. I check other items (Calendar, Contacts, Inbox, etc) from Options, but they won't stay checked, only those four will. Very annoying.
