Advice required on lost input word suggestions?

Have realised that my machine has recently stopped offering me alternative word completion options as I input them in e.g. Word, despite having gone into Settings>Input> and ticked "suggest words when entering text".
I routinely use Letter recogniser, but this also appears to be happening when I try other input methods also.
Can anyone advise why this should be happening and how to correct it, as the "predictive text" was useful, speeding up my entry rate?
Using an Axim x3i, running Windows 2003.

I had this same problem when i had gone to long without closing out some programs and had filled up my program memory. Using the X most often only minimizes the program so try using some sort of task manager (there are tons of free ones on freewareppc.com) to close out the programs you arent using.
