Activesync Woes

Aloha ! I'm a new X3i users, and so far everything has been awesome !! The only problem that I've been experiecing is that Activesync won't "see" my X3 after a few sync's. Basically, I crank up my computer, dock the X3 and it syncs perfectly. Since I have it set to sync continuously it syncs several times as I make change within Outlook 2003. But after a few syncs, Activesync will stop "seeing" my X3 which is still docked in the cradle. I've rebooted my computer and still nothing, I power cycled the X3 and still nothing - the only thing that works is to press the reset button on the X3, and then Activesync can see the X3 and everything syncs perfectly again.

And of course, after a few syncs I back to square one and I'll have to press the reset button again to make it work. :cry:

Anyone else experience this problem, or know of a solution? I'd appreciate any assistance...

Open Activesync and go to 'Options', on the 'Schedule' tab set the 'When connected to my PC, sync to 'Continuously', then disconnect the Axim and then reconnect.

If that doesn't do it, maybe verify the PocketPC's Power option on the 'System' tab under 'Settings' is not shutting off the pocket pc after 30 sec/1 min when cradled & on exernal power. If it's set real low, increase the 'turn off if not used' to 15/30 min.

Depending on your O/S, the USB ports will also have power saving settings that you can disable.

I checked everything that you had mentioned and that seems to be fine, however I think I've narrowed down teh culprit!

I think it's PasswordWord Plus from Netviz. Once I uncheck Password Plus from the list of sync options, the syncing works great for days! and once I re-check it it will start to crash again.

I've looked around netviz's site for answer but have not found any yet, I will send them an email shortly asking them for assistance.

I hope they have a fix because that password program is awesome!!
