Trouble opening Pocket Word

I got my X3 about a month ago, and have used Pocket Word a number of times, both to create new documents and to open documents I created on my desktop PC and copied to the X3. Now all of a sudden when I try to open either an existing document or create a new one by tapping on the Word icon, all I get is the program name at the very top of the screen (Pocket Word), but nothing comes up. If I'm in File Explorer and tap on the Word icon, I still see the icons in File Explorer. I tried assigning Word to one of the buttons on the front of the X3 to get it to open by simply pressing the button, but still no good. If I'm at the Today screen and press the button, I can see 'Pocket Word' at the very top of the screen, but I still see the Today screen. I just tried a soft reset, but that didn't help.

Suggestions????

When word is opened, look at the bottom of the left hand side of the screen. You should see (New). Tap on that and it opens a menu -> Tap on Word Document. See what that does. Try it with Word opened and while it is closed.
