What a
Handy Menu application! That's about as simple and effective a statement I can make about Dinar Soft's HandyMenu. For $2.99, you can't go wrong with this splendid tool.

About Screen
Some of my favorite features:
Soft Reset
How often do you find yoursel having to puncture the rubber or or press the reset button with your hand, feeling that cracking feeling on the chassis to do your soft reset? Me, I have to do a soft reset about two to four times a day for a number of reasons. I'm always testing things out! Dinar Soft has blessed the PocketPC world with HandyMenu, putting Soft Reset right at the top of the menu. For this alone, I think HandyMenu is stupdendous! No longer do I have to worry about performing a soft reset with my stylus or finger, well, maybe once or twice when the Axim locks up! But that's rare.
Power Off
Another feature that Dinar Soft has made very easy to get to is the Power Off command. Not that hitting the power button at the top of the Axim was difficult, or hard to get to, but having direct access to it via a software menu was very clever. I find myself using the Power Off button a few times per week.
Running Programs
I absolutely LOVE being able to get to the list of running programs, via the OS, with Dinar Soft's direct link on the HandyMenu! Many of the apps in PocketPC 2002 lack the "close" option we all have grown to love. Actually, we've all grown to hate that we have to close them via the ctrl-alt-del-like method that Microsoft has forced us to use (via Running Programs). Dinar Soft gives us direct access to this hotspot!

Simple and effective menu (customizable)
Uninstalling Programs
Another direct link we find in HandyMenu is the link to remove programs. No long do we have to traverse our Start Button by Start > Settings > Remove Programs. Dinar Soft has removed one of these "clicks" and gives us our destination, at our fingertips! So uninstalling that program you hate so much for causing grief to your OS is just a click away!

Settings screen puts everything you can slap onto the menu right in front of you
Some other features/settings
With HandyMenu, we aren't limited to a predetermined list of links to have on the menu, yet, we are given quite a selection to choose from. We are able to choose Today Screen items like: Themes, Plugins, and a direct link to Today. Here is a full list of links we can have on the HandyMenu, which sits in the bottom right corner: Soft Reset, Hard Reset, Power Off, Brightness, Memory, Battery Level, Today Themes, Today Plugins, Today Screen, Start Menu, Clock, Sound Settings, Uninstall Programs, Running Programs, Hardware Buttons, Input Methods, Network Connections, and Options. Also, you can choose to have your menu run w/o icons on the menu, if you're into speeding things up a bit. Me, I'm a tweaker, I like my machines to run as fast as possible. I found this as a welcome feature in my book.
Conclusion
The beauty of HandyMenu is that it gives you a chance to have direct access to the tools/utilities/settings you find in the Settings area of the OS.
Start>Settings (Personal, System, Connections). In doing this, we don't have to dig into the OS to change the way we have learned to love our Axim.
