PDA Mill has reinvented the once boring Windows and Pocket PC game to a new and more enjoyable Pocket PC entertainment game with the introduction of GameBox Solitaire.
Installation:
Installation is via ActiveSync, and the application can be installed on either the device’s memory or storage card. To start the game, you will have to tap on it from the Games folder from the Programs screen.
I tried running the game from my SanDisk 256 MB storage, and I didn’t see any latency when compared running from my device’s storage memory. A big plus here considering the game has sounds and high quality graphics.

Features:
Once you start the game, the first thing that you will notice is its high quality graphics and sounds. Although the game is high-tech, it gives you a nostalgic image and feeling as if you’re playing solitaire back in the good old western days.

Is there something wrong with the screen?
Playing the game will require you to hold your device on the side because it is in landscape mode, and it utilized the entire screen. If you compare it with the built in solitaire game that came with your device, playing solitaire in full screen has never been better.
Games galore
GameBox Solitaire comes with 10 different games that you could enjoy:
• Blind Alleys
• Canfield
• Chinese
• East Haven
• Fourteen Out
• Freecell
• Golf
• Klondike
• Pyramid
• Pyramid golf

Please explain this game to me
If for some reason you’re not familiar with some of the games that came with it (like me), GameBox Solitaire has a short and concise description on each game to help understand the object of the game.

The visual's are stunning!
This is one of the best-looking games that I’ve played in a long time. I couldn’t believe that no one has thought of making solitaire look this good.
Oh that Ambient Music
The game comes with three 15 minute long soundtracks that are composed by Jason Surguine, who is well known for composing Pocket PC soundtracks. If you prefer playing without the music or sound, just tap on the sound and music icons to mute the game.
What are my game options?
Tap on setting from the main screen, and it will give you the options on game play, graphic effects, and sounds. With all of those options, I think the most important option is the game’s ability to stack the card on the left hand of the screen for left-handed people. No, I am not left handed, but when you try to play the game with your left hand, you’ll notice that you’re blocking the screen when making a move on the stacked cards.

Wait, I made a bad move
The game comes with an unlimited undos or replay (start the game from the beginning) which gives you the chance to correct your mistake.
How can I save a game?
Not to worry, once you exit of the game, it will automatically save the state of your game.
How did I do?
You can show your statistic on each game by selecting the type game on the left, and tapping on “Statistics” on top on the main screen.
The game doesn’t have the ability to score, but what it does is track your best game time.

Wish List:
One thing I would like to see on the next version of the game is the ability to access the Start Menu quickly during playtime, and re-enter the game without going through the introduction and main screen of the game, or at least give that option, and keep the current programming as a default.
Conclusion:
PDA Mill has the knock of creating applications and games that are both functional, simple, and pleasing to the eyes. From what I can see, they’ve succeeded in doing just that, and GameBox Solitaire is proof. GameBox Solitaire is not just a Solitaire game; it is the BEST Solitaire game out there.
