Although it is currently not available in the US, Smartphone is everywhere. Some analyst believe that this it the year of the Smartphones, you hear and read about Smartphones everywhere on the Internet, TVs, and magazines. With the recent CTIA and Microsoft conferences in New Orleans, much of the hype was about wireless and Smartphone technology.

Microsoft believes that this is the next arena where its Windows operating system can play a major role or even dominate. Microsoft doesn't want to miss the boat this time as it happened when the Internet became popular, but this time Microsoft is not competing with one entity, Microsoft has plenty of entities to compete with.

I wanted to wait to get a phone that combined all the capacities of a phone/pda. I did wait for almost 18 months but everything I saw looked like overpriced egoware. So, I cracked, bought the Axim and haven't looked back. maybe by the time I am ready to make my next upgrade it will be a viable option.

I voted NO for now because I'm currently using a Pocket PC Phone Edition, and to be honest, I'm really enjoy using it.

Even though the PPC PE format is PDA first - phone second, it doesn't seem to me that the device was ment to work that way. I use it a lot talking to people.

I have a SPV Smartphone and LOVE it !!!!

I just bought my Axim this week for the reason I could browse the Internet with a larger screen. Only to find out I cant get it working.

This is my only gripe I have with my SPV so far, other than that its excellent. There have been some bugs with Smartphone 2002 but I have been a Lucky person who hasn't experienced any Problems until now. I’m only going to use my Axim for work, logging onto servers with my SPV screen isn't worth trying. But I know I have pretty much the same features on my phone for when im not at work and don’t want to carry my Axim.

My SPV does more than what you want from a phone, some things not that great but cool all the same. I've watched films with a Pocket Divx Conversion, I Play games, use it as an MP3 player, Log on to my corporate network to pick up my emails and browse the company intranet, Syncs with my outlook just about everything my Axim does, But being a boy that like his toys I spent the cash for a nice big screen
