X5-X3

This is great, having developed a system that uses a third party compact flash card, I can no longer use the axim product as they have dumped it on the X3 and the X5 is no longer ava in AUS.

So looks like Dell just lost a customers back to HP Ipaq for me even if they cost more they at least have a CF model.

Sorry. I'm not too happy about it either. I'll stay with my X5. I need 2 slots. To go to one slot they will have to greatly increase the internal capacity. That didn't happen.

I'm very surprised by their decision to dump CF, myself. Makes me consider if I really want an X3i of my own?

Haolding on to all my accessories since my Casio E125, a CF slot is a huge factor for me. That is litterally the only reason the 2215 is leading the pack for my next upgrade. I would love an X3 with a CF slot.

I waited...I waited...I hoped...hoped for an X5 that would appear as the all-new X7 for the Holiday Shopping Season that would have SDIO, a CF slot, 128 Meg RAM, 64 ROM, and with build-in Bluetooth® and a built-in 802.11g Wirless <sigh>
For those of us who use Margi-to-Go Presenter®, that connects through the CF slot, we're doomed with the new X3 because of its lack therof. We already could not use Margi Mirror to project a Browser onto the screen, since the Wireless (802.11b) Card uses the CF slot.
At this time, I could not recommend the purchase of an X3 to others who do presentations with their AXIM...stick with the X5 for now...until the above fantasy becomes a reality?

I so agree. Those new x3's look sweet, but no CF card slot? i remember a thread that discussed why we bought axims in the first place, and that was a big reason. They should at least have one model with cf.

i figure you all want my hip x5. i'll sell it for $285 ... LOL that's more thn i paid
