I found a great site to pick up Sci Fi Fiction. http://www.baen.com/library/
you can go download complete books in a variety of formats. They let you preview the first 9 chapters of whatever book you are interested in and if you want to buy a copy of the book you can get it for a very reasonable price.
This is definitely the future of publishing and my hat is off to Jim Baen for this inovative way to market/publish/sell books.
BTW, i love being able to read anywhere with my Axim. Day or night. I am amazed at the screen clarity and depth.

Great find whatsurpointnow.
Let me remind everyone again that Microsoft Reader has a memory leak problem that appeared in Pocket PC 2002. The system will slow down, and the only way that you can go around it is by closing the application (if possible) and then doing a soft reset.
Microsoft is aware of the problem.

Unfortunately, MS eReader is the only one that's available for the Pocket PC. I'm actually surprised at Adobe because they also have an eReader program, but it is only available for the PC.

Besides the Microsoft Reader, I've got the Adobe Reader for Pocket PC and Palm Reader. It uses the same clear type technology as Pocket Reader so it looks good.
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the Adobe reader and so it's not used a whole lot. I'd probably get rid of it but so many manuals are written in that format.

Folks, I'm having an MS Borg moment.
I had long been familiar with Jim Baen's web site. I recently got my Axim so I purchased and downloaded several titles in MS Reader format. I then tried to load the titles to my Axim Of course, it required me to "activate" my copy of MS Reader first.
Here is where my MS phobia begins. Not only must you activate this software first, you must also provide your personal info. Also, unless if I am reading the activation faq incorrectly, you must make your ebook purchase only through an activated device (your pda or pc, etc). Clearly MS tracks your activities and will never never ever use or sell your info.
My question to you is: "Is this the way of the world" and I should stop listening to the whispers coming from my pillow? Or did I take a left turn near Albaquerque, I really don't have to activate anything, and there is a simple way to transfer my download MS reader books from my pc to my pda.
P.S. Very sorry for the long post and I hope the very last run-on sentence above is the correct answer. Thank you.

When I activated my MS Reader, I used my Hotmail e-mail account since it is a part of MS Passport. I would recommend to create a Hotmail account, so that you don't have to enter your actual email address or other information.
I don't think MS track your activities. In fact I could download a novel and use it on all of my Pocket PC devices, including the PC that I have since I have the MS Reader for the PC. Do you think Microsoft will find out which Pocket PC device I'm going to use this? I have four PPC.
Microsoft migth want you to activate the product, but they're not going to stop you from reading your novel from one device to another, or to a PC.
Remember when Windows XP came out, people where so worried about the activation process. Well come to find out all you have to enter was the country where you live in.
I don't think you should worry about it too much.
