It's official!MS AS Sucks

I don't beleive the amount of time that it takes to maintain an activesync partnership with my ax. Every time I change my ax AS does'nt deal with it. I have just had to uninstall/reinstall again, gone to 4.5beta and it semms no better, is MS having a joke or am I not supposed to reconfigure my ax. I am tempted to update to vista just to see if MS has done a better job.
Gripes about AS welcome here, maybe we can start on online petition for better support for AS and WM5.

i installed AS beta 4.5 and I as Ax50 or 51 same cradle in 30 sec. Both sync with different folder on laptop. You might check the firewall sometimes it requires a reboot to sync with 4.2

I have to say that AS is lacking and incompatible with a number of environments, but I don't have any problem with 4.2 using three different Axims.

Vista's Mobile Device Center is very nice and a complete move away from ActiveSync.

I suppose I'm being a bit HARSH!!! but AS keeps renaming my ax and asking me to delete partnerships so that I can set up a new partnership so I keep going through the initial setup, I haven't found the folder on PC to delete to give me a clean install for PC, therefore ax is new every time I connect. I did a custom uninstall and the only files I didn't uninstall were the system files that I was warned may unstablise my system. And still I get the new sync wizard. I still think that MS has forsaken old apps for Vista upgrade and driven by marketing and profits, have taken resources from older apps to try to offer another uncomplete OS that relies on further updates and development which ties you interminiably to them in order to strengthen their monoply on PC.

PS. It's probably got something to do with apps I'm trying, looking to maximise usability, customise axim to my requirements, and i've changed lots of apps but now I'm synching with windows PC2. One PC and One ax. Don't kill bill, cripple him and keep his brain! [much frustration]
