I have only owned 3 cars. My current has only 55k miles, haven't had any problems with it.
The 2nd car was the one in question and it paid off. The first actually paid off as well. My tranny went out on it at 73k or so. So.....I am 2 for 2 so far. B)

Hmmm... let me guess... both were domestics.... ive never heard of major tranny problems with Honda or Toyota.... main reason im looking at them!

Tranny problem was with a Ford Probe.....the 2nd car was an Acura Vigor. I honestly forget what happened, but they had to take apart some items in the engine to get to it.

OK....this thread must be a jinx. I went in to the dealership to get my oil changed and to have a "noise" looked at. I have bad bearings in my rear drive shaft. $810 for repair. Still under my extended warranty, but they need to call on Monday to the manufacturer to see if it is covered.
I hate cars....necessary evil! :angry2:

I feel your pain ...I had to pay roughly the same amout with my previous vehicle. :cry:
