I want to convert some larger PDF files I have into .LIT files so that I can put them on my axim and read them on business trips. Is there any free software that can do this?

Just use the pocket PC version of Acrobat reader, availible on Adobe's site.

Pocket Pc magazine also lists some tools for converting files to .lit format.

I wouldn't go to the trouble (having done in once in the past), just download the Adobe Acrobat for Pocket PC reader and read the original files.
