Hi,
Before I order the Axim, I want to know if the Pocket Excel files can be converted onto my PC? I'm using Windows XP, Microsoft Works, Corel Word Perfect 10. I do not have Excel on my PC.
If it can be done, will the format look the same on my PC?
I want to mainly use the Axim for a running invoice and then sync it to my PC when I want to print out the invoice. Possibly is there software other then Pocket Excel that I can sync with my PC?
Thanks Vic

For your Pocket Excel question, check this site out:
http://www.bugnet.com/analysis/0101/ftpdaword.html
I'm not sure if there are any spreadsheet software available out there.

The best spreadsheet software that I have found and use daily is at:
http://www.byedesign.freeserve.co.uk The program that he has is as close to the real thing in function and does a whole lot more than the pocket version of excel. It will also convert to pocket excel if you really want to.

Thanks guys for your input. Looks like I might just have to experiment if I do decide to buy that Axim.

Unclevic ...after futher review, it appears that Pocket Excel is only compatible with MS Excel.

I think I have your solution, you'll or someone else will have to check it out though since I don't have MS Works.
Pocket Excel allows you to save your spreadsheet in Excel 97/2000 format. I also assume that you can open a file in this format.
The next thing you'll need to do is convert your file to the Workbooks spreadsheet format. Help for doing this can be found in the MS Knowledgebase forum on the following page:
How to Import and Export Works Spreadsheets to Excel 97
Please let me know if this works........... B)

Rodan ...looks like you in a breakthrough here. I didn't even think about the "SAVE AS" feature of PXL. It might work, and all what Unclevic needs to do it open it with Quatro Pro (if the program can import 97/2000 format of XL).

These seem like great ideas. Hopefully they will work.
What if someone where to email me an Excel file and then try to open it on my PC? Could this be a good test for what I want to do? Vic

Make sure that the file that they will email you was created and saved from PXL. Then once you receive the attachment, save it on your hard drive, try opening it with Quattro Pro.

Well guys, I couldn't wait any longer. I ordered an Axim last night. With the $50 rebate and the 10% discount, I couldn't resist these offers.
Do or die I'm going to try to make this thing work for my applications. I should be recieving it by the end of the month. We shall see. Hopefully the next time I post you'll be seeing me with a instead of a  .
