Hi, I installed active sync and outlook onto my laptop and attempted to sync the info to my Dell Axim. I cannot properly install outlook onto my laptop because it cannot locate my e-mail location. I use MSN for e-mail via a cable modem. As a result, none of my e-mail, contacts or other info will sync with the Axim. I was somehow able to install and have been using Avantgo. Please help if you can, it seems to all be related to the 'connections' part of outlook where I am having trouble. Thanks in advance

Mike ...hope this helps, and I also do hope that you have MSN 8.
You can use Intellisync for MSN to keep MSN Calendar synchronized with Microsoft Outlook 97 or later, with any handheld device running Windows CE 2.0 or later, or with Palm Desktop. This enables you to use more than one calendar and keep them in sync.
To use Intellisync for MSN, you must download it from the Web.
Open your calendar.
To get there: On the navigation bar, click Mail & More, and then click Calendar.
On the left, click More Features.
Follow the directions for downloading and installing Intellisync for MSN.
After you have installed it, open Intellisync for MSN and follow the directions for setup. Click Help in Intellisync if you need additional information.
This will also allow you to sync your contacts.
I found this information from Members.support.msn.com

Thanks, but what if I do not have MSN 8 yet? My problem seems to be more with Outlook than active sync. I cannot get through MSN PPC connections wizard. There is a prompt that asks about where I want to dial from, I don't have an answer for what my ISP phone # is. I am using AT&T cable modem and then I use MSN for mail. When I try to connect via the Axim, I can't because in the connections screen, I can't answer the questions. Anyway, I am frustrated.

Ok Mike, try this.
Close Outlook
Right Click on the Outlook Icon on your desktop
If it ask you to create a profile, create one
On E-mail Accounts, select "Add a new e-mail account" and click on "Next>"
Server Type, select HTTP
Enter your information in Internet E-Mail Settings (HTTP)
Click "Next>"
This will create the inbox for you MSN E-mail account, and I'm also banking that it will create the calendar and contacts folder for you, and I hope that it will finally allow you to sync.
Let me know if this works.

When you installed MS Outlook, did it create an icon w/ out the arrows on your desktop?
If not you will have to open MS Outook, and then select TOOLS > E-Mail Accounts, and then follow the procedure from my previous post.
