SW to read Htm files (not internet page)?

I saved and collected a large amount of internet webpages on my harddisk as htm files ( and folder of the same name for figures on the page). I want to read those pages offline. I can do that easily with a desktop PC but want to read the same with the Axim. However, PIE only askes for URL and ignore entries like
\\desktoppc\c$\Collection\Article.htm

What software would I need to be able to read htm files stored on the Axim X5's memory or on a SD card? I would also want to use a Socket 802.11b CF card to gain access to shared folders of a desktop win98 PC to read the htm files there. I learned lately that resco file explorer is a good sw to do the access, but still I need a program to read and display the htm pages.

I have had absolutely no problem opening local html files using PIE - it *should* work.

what happens if you browse to the file in resco explorer and double click on it?

You should be able to view any pages (i can) stored on your Axim's storage (or storage cards) -- without any additional software. I have no idea how to access files on the desktop -- i don't have a network set up here (besides file/print sharing between our two desktops).

Thanks for the helpful posts. I can read now. I had not been entering the file pointer on the PIE address line correctly; and I had not tried double clicking the file name in file explorer, which I just did and worked.
The URL format is
file://\SD%20Card\SDcardFolder\RFID.htm (for example)
where %20 refers to a space.

I am very glad that I can actually read those htm collections.
