I just found another similar app called RemoteAmp which also provides WinAmp control from a PPC. I tried their demo and it looks very good. You might want to compare the two before purchasing.

There are two seemingly different apps:

is a full tcp-ip controller that seems buggy according to the reviews, and costs $20.

I found a WinAmp plugin called WebAmp. It adds a web server to WinAmp that allows you to control WinAmp from any browser. The only drawback is that it only seems to work with WinAmp2, not WinAmp3 (yet).

So I downloaded and installed WinAmp2 on my desktop, added in WebAmp, and configured WebAmp to look in my Music directory. Went to the Axim, pointed IE at the desktop, and instant HTML interface to WinAmp. Click, click, music. From anywhere in the house.

Next month we go to the 12 hours of Sebring with the big old RV and set up the amps, speakers and the notebook full of techno MP3s. This time I can walk anywhere in the area and control the music from the Axim. Cool.

I went to Winamp's site, and didn't see a PPC version, do you have a link?? I searched their support forums. There are tons of messages about a PPC version, and all of them basically state that Winamp has no plans to make one.

I think the closest available thing to winamp is Pocket music. SUPPOSEDLY you can use WA2 skins.. but i tried and it didnt work. But it seems to be a decent port...i like the familiarity and the PL editor... instead of having to open a different window to see whats in the playlist.
