Well, when i hd my m515 i found a few different prgs to make it into a universal remote. Very useful when ive got 30 tv's to turn on at work, especially the ones i have to stretch to turn on. Anyways..is there something similar for the axim...from what ive seen there are a few ppc versions, but are thier any especially good ones for the axim?

The one that came close was the Griffin Total Remote Control, but it came out to be that the add on device, which is pretty cool because you insert it on the headphone jack, was not working properly. The deviced boosted the signal for only 6 ft.
I have the Total Remote ...and it was supposed to be for my Axim. Now I use it with my Compaq 3955.
This Friday, I should be receiving my HP iPaq 5455, which comes with the Nevo software (great layout for a remote) and an industrial strength IR.
As for the softwares ...mostly all I ran into are for the iPaq. Don't fear ...sooner or later, there will be one for the Axim.

I was wondering what the strength on the Axim IR was? Like how far can it go?

Rommel, is the industrial IR on the 5455 able to recieve IR from another device? I wasn't sure so I thought I'd ask. I thought I'd read something about the 5455 and the IR but I couldn't remember what it said.

If you mean Pocket PC to another Pocket PC / Palm, yes it can. As for the remote learning another remote, I'll find out on Friday when my 5455 comes in.

...But to use your Axim as a remote control, you have to have a direct alignment between the IRs. Distance is another issue.
