I bought an X5 for my wife for Christmas and she seems to be using it a lot for her work. She has come up with an unusual situation which perhaps you can help me with.
She has entered an item on the calendar that spans several days, Feb 27 to Mar 14th in this case. When looking at the monthly view, only Feb 27th and 28th are marked. the first two weeks of march give no indication of having been blocked off. The only way to make days appear as blocked off is to edit the item and set it to be a yearly recurring item ending Dec 31, 2003.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a better way to do this?

Thunderpuppy, if your wife's time schedule during the day is the same for all the upcoming days, then you can set Calendar to do a multiday function.
Here is how:
Select the date, and tap on the Appoinment name
Click EDIT
On the Appointment tab,
click on Starts: (select the date) (time)
click on Ends: (a calendar will appear - set the date when it's going to end) (time)
Once it is save, go to Monthly view, and you should see all does dates maked.
Hope this helps.

This is what she is doing. If she looks at each day individually, the appointment is there, no problem.
However, the problem is that when looking at the month view, the little "at a glance" square (these can also be little triangles depending on whether the appointment is for the morning or afternoon, in this case it's all day so is a square) is only on the days for the first month, all of the days of the appointment which run into the second month are clear.
As I said earlier, clicking on any of these days does show the appointment.

Ok ...I will try and replicate the problem if I can.
One question, has she tried doing a soft reset? If she hasn't please instruct her to do so. It might just clear up the problem. Thanks!

I've noticed a similar problem where "all day" events don't show up AT ALL in the calendar month view. This is quite annoying.

Soft reset fixed the symbol problem in month view for me. I would like to know why calendar "notes" disappear no occasion though??

Aaron ...you got me on the Calendar notes. I've even checked Microsoft website to find anything, but I didn't find any solution for it.
I'm starting to believe that this is a bug either with the poutlook or ActiveSync.
By the way ...what version of ActiveSync do you have? 3.6 is the latest, have you tried it. I'll also suggest to contact Microsoft for this one.
...but I'll keep on looking.
