Pocket Excel: Invalid File Format?

Okay, I love my Axim.

With that out of the way, I think I've stumbled across a little problem. I have a 256 MB Secure Digital card. The other day at work, I saved an excel file to my Axim through ActiveSync. Later that night at home, I opened the file, and it worked fine all weekend. Then, just five minutes ago, I plugged my SD Card into the axim, and tried to open the file, and I got the error "Cannot open because 'schedule' is not a valid file type." What is up with that. Also, I recieved this error once before with another excel file, but I just didn't mind because it was just a junk file and nothing important. However this file is pretty important!

Has this ever been documented before? Is there a fix for the file? Does unplugging the SD card and replacing it have an effect on this? Can anyone help me???

Have you tried doing a soft reset? If not, give that one a try.

As I asked earlier, does anyone know if taking out secure digital cards has to be done when the device is off? Or are they hot swappable? Is that my problem?

I hot swap my SD cards all the time with no problems.

How large is the file that you're working on. I found a reference to problems with pocket excel files with more than 256 rows in MS knowledgebase. It doesn't seem to fit your case exactly but, if that was always the case this job would be easy. Anyway, you may find more help there. Here's the link to MS, you may want to try searching yourself.
