ActiveSync and my Outlook have been working great until today. I have my AS set to continuously sync when connected. So if I add a task, the little AS icon in the taskbar shows up yellow and syncs up the task with my Axim.
This does not happen any more when I change something in my Outlook. It DOES still happen when I add or delete something on my Axim. So as near as I can tell, it is not a problem with the Axim, but with my desktop computer. Almost, like AS cannot see any changes made in Outlook anymore.
I have deleted the partnership and re-established, but this has not helped. I have changed the Sync options to manual and back to continuous, but no help.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance!

*bump*
Update - I have upgraded to version 3.6 of AS and still not working. I decided to delete AS and reinstall, still no go.
I believe I have a problem with my Outlook, any thoughts? Unfortunately this is a company computer and.......hmm......maybe a reformat is in order. It has been pretty slow booting up lately.

Another Update....
It appears that ActiveSync IS updating my changes.....about an hour later.
I have set the Server Option for Sync every 5 minutes when Device is connected to my PC. This does not matter either.
So.....I can make a change in Outlook on my desktop and it will sync with my connected Axim, it just takes a while. <_<
Frustrating......

As a follow-up to this thread. I ended up reformatting my hard drive due to other problems with my PC. Now everything works fine.
If this happens again, I am going to uninstall Outlook and reinstall and see if that takes care of the problem.

I recently purchased an Axim after using a Palm for some time. All is fine, except when I sync with my PC, nothing happens with Outlook (Contacts). The ActiveSync screen says "see status on device" - whatever that means. The same message is given for Calendar, but it syncs all right. I'm obviously missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

I've figured out my issue with activesync...
Whenever I switch batteries, I need to do a soft reset in order for ActiveSync to work. Bizarre.

That was why I mentioned before not to always blame ActiveSync.

Just catching up. Thanks for the info.
I'm a minimalist/purist & scientist/engineer.
Can anybody tell me WHY (you can use PhD-level techno-jargon... actually, please do) Pocket PC's require soft resets?
Now when it won't sync, I soft reset.
ActiveSync has worked flawlessly... including Intellisync too.
BTW, I do not believe that soft resets, hard resets, uninstalling & reinstalling are SOLUTIONS to a problem.

I experienced the same problems. After trying all sorts of solutions I found out that I got best results by:
- always manually disconnecting the connexion on the Axim before removing it from the cradle
- synchronizing with Outlook running offline (you need to synchronize outlook with your server first).
providing these little extra steps I did not experience the hang-ups anymore.
