Look on the left edge of your Axim. In the rubber, there is a depression underneath the Record Button. It says RESET. With your Axim turned on, press it in with your stylus.
Your screen will go blue with a DELL logo in it and then restart.

Are you attempting to install a program using ActiveSync on a desktop or laptop with your Axim connect to it via a cradle or USB Connection, or are you trying to download directly to your Axim through a WiFi connection?

With your USB Connection, are you able to do any syncing via ActiveSync? Calander, contacts, etc.....
If you can do this, connect your Axim to the USB Cable and go into ActiveSync on your desktop. Click on the File/Explore option and see if you can explore your mobile device (Axim).
Let me know how this works for you and we will go from there.

I am able to sync w/ Calander, Contacts, Inbox, Money, and I am able to explore through active sync. If I open Active Sync with my axim connected via USB cable and go start to tools then add/remove program and click there I still get the same error message.

Let's try upgrading your ActiveSync to version 3.6. Click here to download that version and install.
Version 3.5 comes standard with the Axim, so getting on the latest and greatest may help you out.
There is also a nice ActiveSync Connection troubleshooter that you can use to diagnose the problem. Here it is. Try this out once you get ActiveSync upgraded and if you still cannot install your program.
