Has anyone...
...made a switch to another PPC device from their Axim? What are your thoughts, what do you miss? What did you (or do you intended) do with your Axim once the switch was made?
I made the switch from an X50v to a Samsung i760. As much as I didn't want to let the device go, it would periodically shut off claiming the battery was taken out (it wasn't.) I tried stretching out the terminals a little, as I was afraid if I did it too much they would break, but to no avail that did not remedy the problem. As a backdrop my coverage with AT&T was spotty at best so I went with and killed two birds with one stone.
What I miss the most so far is the VGA display. It was always crisp. The performance was always solid albeit switching to appropriate speeds when necessary. I also liked the actual percentage of battery shown on the status screen, now I have to use voice command for actual figures.
What am I doing with my Axim? Considering I still have my Ipaq 3955 I more than likely will keep it as a backup device. I still use the BT-309 coupled with Ostia on my new device so for now it sits on the desk accepting a sync and a full charge every so often.
