Mitac Mio.....who?? wow!! that was my first impression of the company's name.Mitac is a Taiwan based Pc maker and that all I know about them. Anyways the mitac mio 338 comes with two couler ,blue and pink!.Pink of course for women but even the blue ones looks like it made for girls more to it then for boys.
Ok first let me review about the screen thats come with the Mitac Mio 338. It comes with 3.5 inch screen and the screen are actualy brghter but the coluers are kind a washed out and if you compere it to the Dell axim's screen, no way its going to win with the Axim brightness and full glory of the coulers.
The sized of the mitac mio is Slim and Thin. Its actually a bit larger then the hp h1910 but not as large as the Axim.
Two things that almost make me buy the Mio is the buttons and the stylus.Whats great about the buttons is that it's actuallly glow blue if you pushed it like the Asus A600 but what the Asus doesn't have and the Mio have is that you can switch off the Blue light if you want to save battery, turn the light onn if you pushed the Address,Inbox ext buttons or just let it turn onn without you pushing any buttons. The buttons unlike the Axim which is flat are kind a Doam shaped so it's great for gaming and you don't have to worry if the buttons one day stuck in the hadware if you pushed it to hard.Whats great about the stylus??...due to the slim factor of the Mio 338, the MiTAC made the design of the stylus retractable. The stylus can be extended to almost the length of the unit. This made writing much easier.
The Mio 338 comes with 64Mb of RAM and 32 for ROM, but you know what.....you will know what it felt like for the viewsonic users if you buy it becouse like the viewsonic v35 which says it came with 64mb of RAM...well you guest it , 36.5MB of the 64MB of RAM is available for running programs and storing further applications. What else did'nt score high points with the Mio well..it has no removable battery,4way typed D-pad, and no IO for it's SDIO
The Axims D-Pad are kaind a mushy...well the Mio's D-Pad are kaind a stiff but's has more great filling to pushed it then the Dell D-Pad.Would you buy the Mio 338 or the Hp h1910.Why do I compere it with the H1910?well... for start the Mio 338 and the Hp h1910 has the same agenda which is no IO for it SD slot. How do I compere the Hp h1910 with the Mio338.well...
Mio 338
Pros
-Has a blue light that comes when you pushed the buttons
-comes with a cradel!
-Great Stylus
Cons
-No removabel battery
-4 way D-PAD
Hp h1910
Pros
-has a 3.8 inch screen!!!!
-5way and a great D-Pad
-48MB of usebale then the mio 36.5usebale memory
-removabel battery
-a little bit smaller
Cons
-doesn't have a cradel
-16ROM
-Ir port on the leftside
So..I think the beast one to choose is perhaps the Hp h1910 becouse you don't need the blue light becouse the hp h1910 screens is so bright that in the dark the brghtnees bleeds in to the buttons, the cradel....maybe you need it but for me...NO,you have 3.8 inch screen!!!,5way and a sooooo great d-pad,48mb of RAM and maybe becouse it's a HP product(hahhaa)
