If money isn't the concern, would replace your Axim with the HP iPaq 5450 model, and why or why not?
- 3.8 Transflective TFT color liquid crystal display
- Removable/rechargeable 1250 mAh Lithium Polymer battery
-Secure Digital (SDIO) memory card slot for transferring and storing music, picture and more
- Expansion sleeves
-Integrated Wireless LAN 802.11b, Bluetooth, biometric fingerprint reader for added security
-400 MHz Intel X-Scale processor
- 64MB of RAM / 48 MB ROM

No, due to not supporting CF without bulky expansion sleeve, lower battery rating, and do not require fingerprint reader. Now, the built in wireless (Bluetooth) would be nice, but I believe I have heard that Dell is working that issue? I would imagine that they will continue to undercut IPAQs and will provide the same functionality at a better price.

nah..i prefer the look of the axim...also ive had years of annoyances with HP...man do they suck (i shouldnt have typed that on an hp keyboard hooked to an hp computer...yeah, my system will crash soon..)
And honestly, the money does matter...even if i had a lot more, spending a lot more to get just a pinch more doesnt make sense

No for the same reasons as Aaron. I have the e740 which already has built in 802.11b, both CF and SD expansion slots, and has a front-lit screen. My buddy has the 3955 (built-in bluetooth only), and don't get me wrong, it's nice, but my Toshiba's better, and it was 200 bucks cheaper! I have no need for bluetooth anyway.

This is looking bad ...I've just ordered the Hp iPaq 5455. LOL
I'm after the biometric fingerprint reader, industrial strength IR, and the Wi-fi.
Hmmm ...email, remote control, messaging, all in one device. Pretty Cool.
Oh this is not a replacement for my Axim ...my Axim has a specific duty. :P

Sure is a nice looking device, but I am pretty partial to the Dell, money or not, being an object.

Nope me neither.
The only thing that would attract me would be the finger print scanner -- I don't have any need for that much security, but it would be kind of neat to show off.
Also bluetooth, but that's coming and I already have a phone that does most of what I would need there.
Other than that, DeLL has it beat in my book.

I would love integrated WiFi, but the price to pay for it is too high right now!
I also use CF constantly with my Axim, adding the sleeve would be more of a hinderance than adding a CF WiFi card to my Axim. No replacement for me! :cat:

I don't have my Axim yet, but I would say no. The ipaq has some really nice features, like the biometric fingerprint scanner, and the built-in WiF, but at the cost of battery power and expansion slots. With the Axim, you could always get WiFi for it in the CF form, but no fingerprint scanner. And the Axim has great battery life and has the expansion slots. So I would stick with the Axim. + you could get 2 for the price of the iPAQ

I pretty much agree with everyone else on this one - wouldn't trade in the Axim for one of the iPaqs.
And, for many first-time buyers of PDAs, COST is very much a determining factor. Like most said already, you get almost everything offered in the iPaq ( with the easy to remedy exceptions ) and you could own two Axims for less than the cost of one iPaq -- which, by the way, I did purchase two Axims !!!
