With great experiences with my Ambicom WI-FI and GPS cards, I bought the FM receiver. It is a pain to carry a radio with the PDA and cell phone. I figured if the receiver worked, it would save me some strain.
The card worked the first time I installed the drivers and reset the PDA. It automatically loads an interface similar to a digital radio, which allows you three bands and 8 memory locations for your favorite stations.
The signal in and around Chicago is good. But becareful. You cannot leave the interface on the screen while you put the PDA away, it will change your stations and such.
There is a "Z" button that puts the screen to sleep but leaves the radio playing. Use this before you put the radio away. It would be nice if it had a "lock" button too. But I haven't found this yet.
THe card comes with a PC-MCIA adapter so you can use it with your laptop. I have not tried it yet.
Ambicom seems to know what they are doing when it comes to CF cards.
I am using an 400MHz Axim X5 with A04
