B) I have been reviewing PDAs for months in preparation to replace my nearly 6yo Casio E100 (which has become the equivilent of an electronic brick...)
I tried the new Palm products (must keep an open mind) and ruled that out in 3 days. (Not enough organizational features)
So I was ready to get an Ipaq, and was heading towards the 4155 with runs around $500. At the last minute, I decided to check the X5 one last time despite the fact that I thought it was huge and terribly bulky.
Lo and behold the X3's were out. I got an X3i for $341 with more memory than the 4155, and significantly smaller profile. Not to mention the terribly cool indigo and chrome cradle
More machine and less money from a more reliable builder. HP could learn a few lessons from the Toyota/Ford wars.
