When I first got my axim I knew I was going to need memory cards, but I had no idea what to get. I heard the sandisk was the one not to get, but I was stuck after that. I now own the Simple Tech 256 mb cf card ($40 amazon) and the Simple Tech 128 mb sd ($40? also amazon)
I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with these cards. I just plugged them in and starting putting files on them. They upload quickly and have never had any fragmentation or slow-downs. The SD card even has a copright protection button on the side.
For about $40 each, these are the best buy on the market. I think I even saw a big display of them at Sam's once.
So for all the new axim users wondering what to do for memory, here is your best (and least expensive) bet.
