Vulnerability on the Axim
Oh No!,Crap!,Damn!.......Or those word that you're mother just don't want you to use when you just brake the things that you just love the most. No....I'm not talking about you're wife or any other things...I'm talking about you're Axim. The vulnerability of it, what is it?....well here some information that I had with my Axim.
CF slot
Remember this, when there is nothing in the CF slot, DON'T push the switch On button to hard. It Would brake the left and right side of the Axim's CF slot which is very vulnerable or you might cripple the IRDA. Yeah....I know the switch is SO small, but do you want to brake you're Axim?. If there is nothing in the CF slot, just insert one of you're finger in the outer CF slot a little bit, then with another finger push the switch onn button. This would give some foundation on the CF slot. But if you want to really protect it , just insert the slug/dummy card that come with the Axim.
Buttons
The Axim comes with imbosed icons on its 4 buttons and D-pad, but don't think it would not fead away. You should whipe of any liquid that are on you're hands and for safe kipping, buy a protective plastic cover that would protect it from the touch of you're finger.
Battery
Don't think that the main battery is tightly closed. It would LET liquid get into them and this may couse the battery to die earlier, the battery would drain more faster and it even would make the Axim PUFF! or die. That's why make sure you're arms are not wet and when you are sweating, you should wipe of the sweat.
Screen
Don't think that if you take care you're Axims screen carefully, you might not get it scratch. No...you will get it scratch if you don't protect it with screen protector. It would even get scratch when you are using the stylus.
Reset Hole
You should not push you're stylus to hard when you are resetting the Axim. If keep on doing that, you would make the Reset hole a one big hole. I know you would get frustrated when you're Axim hang, but do you want it to look ugly?.
Rubberized Grip
No....I'm not talking about the rubberized grips on the left and right side of the Axim, but the little rubber grips just behind the CF slot, just beside the headphone jack and IRDA port. If you handle you're Axim with great care, then it would stick their forever...yes stick, both the little grips are glued together. You can easily pull them both with you're hands. Just don't be rough on that side of the Axim.
Hope thats help.
