GPS 10 Bluetooth Link to AXIM X51v

I have the Garmin GPS 10. The maps appear to be loaded. When I start the Garmin Que program "SEARCHING COM3" appears. The Blue LED on the GPS 10 is blinking 2 time per second, the devices are not locked.

The "SETTINGS/GPS SETTINGS/ is set to COM 3"
The GPS Hardware Port is Set to Com1 because when I try to set it to Com 3 the error message saye the "Hardware prot & the SOFTWARE Port cannot be the same Com number.

Have you paired the GPS and the Axim and assigned the pair a serial port number? Does the GPS have a passcode and did you enter it for the pair?

There are different takes on the GPS port settings in the control panel. I prefer to disable all the GPS options including manage GPS automatically and manually configure everything so I know exactly what's what. Others prefer to use the automanage functions.

I would go a little further than Mahstah

Don't use the automatic management of the GPS ports - disable it completely and get your GPS working with your AXIM 'directly'.

Once you have acheived this - then you can experiment with the automatic management, although personally I don't use it even though I have a choice of 3 GPS units (2*BT and one serial) and 3-4 GPS capable apps.

You will need to pair the units and assign a new incoming serial port to the unit. This will probably be COM7: (it is on my X51v). Check your GARMIN manual for the passkey to allow the connection.

You should then be able to establish a BT connection and use your app.
