Garmin Que, maps on storage card

Being working, searching on this for a few weeks now. Que 2.90 is the GPS program I'm using. But Que won't read the detailed map on the storage card (maps don't even show in detailed map menu). I know the maps are there because the Que program let me see them to delete them (in the remove menu). I've tried different SD card, not working

Well I tried everything I can imagine (including reading every material on the Garmin site and every site I could think of), I hope someone out there experienced the same problem and found the solution.
Oh by the way, I have an Axim X30 with A06 ROM update, (it did not work with A05 either)

I took the following directly from the Garmin site - FAQ.

Hope this is the solution for you.

Q. I am using a GPS 10 with my Pocket PC and the maps I loaded do not show up in the Que program. I am sure the maps are loaded because I can see they are taking up memory space. How can I get the maps to show up correctly?
A. The first step to fix this issue will be to update the Que operating software on the PDA.

The software can be downloaded from the following link: http://www.garmin.com/support/agree.jsp?id=837

Once the software has been updated, please turn on the PDA and run the Que program. The software program will open and then it will ask which device to connect to for GPS signal. Please confirm that the GPS 10 unit is powered on at this time. Select the GPS 10 from the list and the software will pair with the GPS 10. The software should work properly and the maps will be viewable.

Thanks Drifter, I had tried that before. So I did a hard reset on my AXIM to clean it out, and retried what you have proposed again. Same result, the ''detailed menu'' is still blank (just lines bordering the screen, no writing). In the next menu (the one to remove maps), I can see my detailed map, so I know it's loaded.
Well I hope somebody has an idea, this one is puzzling me for now
